Starting the blog...

How to start your very first blog?!

I have to admit, I have only just grasped the concepts of blogs so I will give it my best shot!

I am going to start by giving you a bit of background detail about who I actually am. My name is Nikki Peters, a student at Leeds Metropolitan University and I am, as the title of my blog suggests, studying PR. I am from a tiny little place called Elsenham which is on the Herts and Essex border, North East of London.

I decided to take a gap year before the 4 year commitment of uni. During this time I worked and then travelled. It was the best experience I could of ever hoped for! I went to Hong-Kong, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. I would have to say that after this huge adventure, travelling is one of my biggest passions.

So this brings us to now. I have been at Leeds Met for about 7 weeks now and I am really enjoying it. The World of PR is becoming clearer to me and I am undertaking the challange of tying to find a placement!

During this blog I am going to hopefully give you my views on any films, music or news stories which catch my attention. I hope you enjoy!

So I guess for now its a case of "watch this space..."
